Project Background
In the food industry, with the growing demand from consumers for fresh, convenient, and safe food, there has been an increasing demand for efficient and secure packaging solutions. Soft film thermoforming packaging, known for its excellent sealing performance and high flexibility, is especially suitable for the packaging needs of fresh-keeping and portable foods. It is widely used in the packaging of refrigerated and frozen foods as well as ready-to-eat meal trays.
The goal of this project is to provide food manufacturers with a fully automated soft film thermoforming packaging integrated solution, focusing on high efficiency and precision in the food packaging process. By adopting the soft film thermoforming process, the solution offers effective sealing protection for food, enhances the aesthetic appeal of the packaging, and improves transport convenience, thereby extending the product’s shelf life, reducing production costs, and increasing shipment efficiency. This integrated solution seamlessly connects multiple processes, including soft film forming, metering and filling, sealing, and quality inspection, helping customers meet market demands for product quality, efficiency, and food safety.
Solution Design

2. Equipment Configuration
1. Soft Material Thermoforming Packaging Machine
The process involves heating the soft film to form soft trays, which are then filled with materials using a feeding device. Afterward, the sealing system performs vacuuming, heat sealing, and cutting. This equipment is ideal for food products with high flexible packaging requirements, offering simple operation and high forming efficiency, ensuring product sealing and consistent packaging appearance.
2. Multihead Weigher Accurate Weight Automatic Loading and Unloading System
Responsible for accurately weighing and portioning food (such as main ingredients or additives), using multihead weighers to achieve high-precision error control, ensuring uniform product weight for each portion, and minimizing material waste.
3. Product Conveyor Line
Connects all stations along the production line, ensuring smooth flow of packaging trays through filling,sealing, and inspection processes. The conveyor system enhances the overall stability of the production pace.
4. Weighing and Labeling Integrated Machine

5. Rotary Table Sorting Machine
The sorting equipment at the end of the production line collects and organizes the packaged products. It can adjust the rotation speed according to the production line speed, ensuring continuous product flow and preventing line blockages. This facilitates product boxing, palletizing, or subsequent processing, improving outbound efficiency.
3. Automation Level
- PLC System Control: The production line utilizes a PLC control system to ensure equipment linkage and process coordination, reducing the need for manual operation.
- Smart HMI Monitoring: The production line is equipped with an HMI interface, allowing operators to monitor and adjust parameters in real-time.
- Smart Detection and Recording: The precise measurement systems of the weighing labeling machine and multihead weigher automatically record production data, ensuring standardized and transparent quality control.
